Kyle Richards blasts Lisa Vanderpump for marriage comments (2024)

Kyle Richards blasted Lisa Vanderpump for insinuating she had misrepresented her marriage to Mauricio Umansky ahead of their split.

Vanderpump, 63, recently claimed various castmates would outwardly present to be very happy in their relationships before announcing their split - which Richards took offense to.

While she did not identify who she was talking about, Richards, 55, clearly believes she was the one being referenced.

She was asked about Vanderpump's comments on Amazon Live and responded by paraphrasing what Lisa had said: "Oh you know these people who are happy on the show and calling each other love bean and this and that oh please nobody's that happy. Then you find out they're getting separated,"' she began.

'Like trying to imply that when I was, you know, showing myself being happy, that I actually wasn’t — which is an absolute lie, and she knows that,' she explained.

'She just does that to be really mean. And then she goes on to say, "I’m not saying who I’m talking about. I would never do such a thing." This is always what she does,' she added.

Lisa made the remarks during an appearance onAlex Cooper's podcast Call Her Daddy this week.

The entrepreneur revealed she's been aware of infidelity before it came to light, but opted not to say anything.

'Well, there was somebody that recently had this kind of complicated scenario in one of the shows — I'm not telling you [which show it was] — and I kind of knew. I've known,' Vanderpump admitted.

'Sometimes, people don't want to hear it,' she added.

It comes as two couples on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — Kyleand Mauricioand Dorit Kemsleyand husband PK — recently parted ways.

For years, Lisa juggled roles on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and her Vanderpump Rules spinoff.

In March 2023 Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval's nine-year relationship imploded when it was discovered that he had been having an affair with castmate Rachel Leviss.

Jax Taylor has been accused of cheating on estranged wife Brittany Cartwright as their crumbling marriage unfolds on Vanderpump Rules spinoff The Valley.

However, the British-bred reality television personality did not specify which unfaithful partner she knew about.

While host Alex pushed for names as she mentioned Kyle and Dorit, the Bravolebrity remained coy: 'No, you're not guessing or doing or saying anything because that's not a headline I'm living with. So, no, it's not either of them. It could be, but it's not.'

She pondered, 'You know what I find surprising? They're on a reality show and they're living their lives — and of course all marriages have problems — but then suddenly they get divorced but they've been saying, "Oh, love bean. My king. Or my this or my that."

'Life's not like that. You have two imperfect people living together and that's bulls**t.'

Lisa added, 'How many times have you seen this? Especially on that show that I used to be on. How many times where, "Everything's just going great, just fine," and then, "Oh, we're getting a divorce." Oh, OK. Or, "Oh we've separated, we've separated," when it's been going on for months and years.'

And Lisa maintained she had no idea about Sandoval and Leviss' scandal, which later came to be referred to as 'Scandoval.'

'Oh God, no, no. I didn't know,' Vanderpump said. 'I did say in the kitchen one time, "Ms. Malibu's in the jacuzzi?" And I said, "That's not OK."

'And Ariana was vociferous in saying, "No, no, no. She's my friend. I'm fine with that." And I said, "Well, I wouldn't be fine with that."

'If I was away on the other side of town and Ms. Malibu was in the jacuzzi with my husband when I was away? No, that's not OK.'

'If I'd known, I wouldn't have been saying that,' she noted. 'And also, I wouldn't have condoned that.'
