You know what I’m saying.
Of course rivals will drop points. I’m not sure many will drop them after creating and not converting as many chances as we did tonight against such poor opposition.
I’m disappointed in the lack of ruthlessness (which you need to win things) and the way in which we surrendered our dominance and completely fell apart for 10-15 mins.
Worrying. And a carry over from last season
Converting chances are THE difference between winning and losing when you play front foot, attacking football. It’s not exactly a surprise the issue has carried over because this system will always need us to take chances for us to succeed

This isn’t me making excuses or anything before someone jumps on me, it’s just an observation.
But does it feel like there’s certain grounds that just seem insurmountable to this team? Stamford Bridge, St James’ Park, The King Power, the Emirates…
It’s like mentally we can’t get over a block that we have associated with any of those grounds
I only feel that way about Stamford Bridge and Anfield tbh, Chelsea and Liverpool could somehow be stripped of all players over the age of 16 and lose every other game that season but you know they would both have 3 points in the column vs us at home lol.

I’m all for balls out offensive attack when tied or behind, but for God’s sake, can we just protect a lead!!

Really need to get a good result vs Everton. If we don't, the last teams I want to play after that are Newcastle away and the goons.
This place would be unbearable

Should have put that game to bed in the first half the fact we didn't gave them hope and them getting the goal rejuvenated them.
f*cking sh*te result.

Ange has said that we don't sign anyone that he doesn't want. Deal with it.

Stamford bridge, emirates and anfield definitely, west ham in recent years too. We've had good results in recent years at king power and st James. Newcastle are a weird one though as we win or we are f*cking disgusting up there. We won 4/5 between the 5-1 and the 6-1.

Werner shoehorned in at RW so an ineffective Son can stay on the pitch.
Subs not even told to warm up until 65’, can’t get on til 71-72’.
No guts to make a change until too late.
No sign of offensive patterns except for whatever Maddison could create.
I really hope this was just a fluke from Ange. What is this- 4 pts from our last 6 matches?

I’m convinced half this board is on crack. Some of the utter bollocks spouted about these players is mind blowing.
Kulusevski can be a second striker according to some on here. Richarlison is a decent finisher. I’m sure some muppet is going to post that daft statistic about his goals and assists per minute.
Or a heat chart!
lol

I don't really think that was our problem at all today, they only had two chances. Our problem was being unable to finish. Can't believe we didn't win that game.

But those tactics saw us carve out opening after opening which should have ended the game by 60 minutes, right?
It's a terrible result and its very concerning that we reacted poorly after going behind rather than immediately establishing dominance again - but we should have won that game by 60 minutes with the tactics and team Ange sent out there.
How is it "all on" him?
To be fair most of that was down to MADDs. The wingers created f all especially Johnson. Without MADDs we would have created nothing.

Worth remembering that half of our starting X1 had very little preseason training :
Romeo - 45 mins of preseason match played
Van de Ven - Ditto Romero
Udogie - Ditto Romero, but that's after a long injury recovery time, so he's not match fit.
Bentancur - Ditto Romero
Son - 80 mins of preseason match played.
That's all on FIFA/UEFA scheduling, nothing we can do about that.
By comparison, Leicester's players had a full preseason
Spurs will improve over next week or two as they all get back to regular training at Spurs.

We had one where we ended up going all the way back to Vic. Think we had 13 corners some we nearly got on the end of. Just imagine if the oppo had 13 corners v us.

Ok I see the escuses coming out already. The ones who didn’t all played under Ange last season so know the drill. Of course city, dippers, villa, toon, goons, Brighton had no one at any tournaments this summer.

Really enjoyed some of Solanke's movement, pressing and link-up - shame he snatched at his chances but I can understand why; I'd back him to score against Everton.
The worrying trend of Ange leaving Son on the pitch when he's having a stinker continues, though - to top it off he puts on Werner on the right..

Seemed like they were getting too cute in the area. Extra passes that allowed the defense to collapse on the ball. Start shooting.
