Professor Lynch is the best professor in UTD according to me, she taught the class really well. It was a hybrid class. NO TEST, only assignments. informative and an easy course.

The professor knows her stuff, but she grades based on weekly quizzes, which are far more than just terms and definitions. You'll need to read every page of each chapter or her power points. The only grades you have in the class will be quizzes and attendance, and you can never anticipate what will be on the quizzes. So, study everything. Good luck

Lectures are monotonous and unengaging, but have some good material in them. However, they are entirely unnecessary: this is a class graded only on book material through required expensive online McGrawHill access, and the assignments through it are frustrating to use and test your memorization of book's phrasing. Long tedious hw. Dont recommend.

By far one of the worst courses UTD has to offer. Professor Lynch is nice, but the lectures are unnecessary. All course work that through and online textbook, and a large portion of the content on quizzes is memorization of useless names, titles and statistics. The lectures were also painfully boring and often digressed from course material.

Textbook course - professor completely unnecessary. Old fashioned teaching (closed note quizzes proctored by the professor, quizzes and homework completely driven by the textbook provider). Quizzes are difficult and often irrelevant or based on memorizing pointless statistics. BUT, some of the material is invaluable and useful in real life.

Lectures are all over the place, often focusing on personal anecdotes and not on the subject matter. Professors often talks down to students. A high amount of homework with strange assignments, and quizzes which require rout memorization of very specific information from the textbook.

Theres a lot of reading and assignments for this class. You have 3 quizzes in one day every other week. There are also chapter readings and assignments due every week. There are no extensions/late work excepted. Also, she takes a long time to reply to emails and she is not understanding. She wont listen to you or respect what you say.

Professor Lynch is very insightful to all things finance-related. She's incredibly warm and caring and helped us understand how to apply the course material to real life. She is the kind of professor that cares about your success. The homework is relatively easy but very long. We used Pearson for homework, reading and quizzes this semester.

SHE IS KIND AND MORE THAN WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU IF YOU ASK!! I believe that she should take a course at UTD to see the difference between an easily accessible, well-structured class and one that is not. Grades, what we are doing, and an agenda are not outlined in this class. Assignments were like high school busy work. She's an ok choice.

She is very rude, she is the kind of profs that wanna look in class like she cares about students but then she doesn't, hates questioning students, almost never reply emails, criteria is dry, and the quizzes taken on elearning had so many questions whose right question was marked as wrong, and then she starts to excuse etc but doesn't correct that.

Don't mind any positive reviews about this lady. I'm positive that she wrote that herself or had a friend write it for her. Everyone in the class struggled with this professor. Her lectures are for third graders and she talks to you like you're beneath her. Her quiz questions have more than one answer sometimes. Never replies to emails. Nightmare.

She never responded to any of my emails, which is very annoying! She assigned way too much homework for an elective class that took up way too much time from me when I can be studying for other core classes. I would not recommend taking her class if you have a busy semester or at all.

Was a great class for being introduced to real estate. The best part of this class were the guest speakers that were invited to talk about their personal real estate experience. They were relevant and helped better understand the concepts in the Textbook.

For EACH chapter, she made us do 150-200 questions including multiple choices, true/fall, fill in the blank, select all that apply just for a reading grade AND an assessment that was typically 25 multiple choice questions and calculating questions AND a chapter quiz. There are also 2 lengthy research papers. The amount of workload was ridiculous.

She doesn't communicate well with students, kind of talks to us like children. Coursework is EXTREMELY heavy. I spent triple the time doing hw and reading assignments for this course than any others this semester. Participation in discussions during lecture is a must to earn a good attendance grade. Nice lady but I recommend taking someone else.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS... or prepare to suffer. She does not know how to effectively communicate with adults in a classroom setting; her teaching style seems better suited for elementary school. Students are treated as intellectually subordinate, and she has little regard for mutual respect.
