  Her exams are objectively way harder than bio1. You need to work to get an A. You can memorize slides to do well on exams, but you have to critically think on tests. Lots of homework/take home quizzes to boost gpa and good attendance extra credit. I would take her again but would have worked hard starting off so I didn't have to stress at the end.

  I enjoyed taking Dr. Wilson's Bio II class. Her lectures delve well into the course content and TA-led weekly workshops are designed to do practical applications of the chapters (case studies, etc). The exams are not too bad as long as you attend class and understand the connections between the topics learned (75% MC/25% fill in the blank, FRQ).

  She was a good lecturer, but her exams were very difficult. Highly recommend attending class even though it is not mandatory, as she gives extra credit for showing up. She assigns 5 pieces of homework every week, though some weeks she will extend the due dates. She would also talk about possible exam questions in class. Overall great professor.

  Bio 2 was definitely one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. The worst part was the exams:multiple choice, matching, short answer. No matter how much I studied or which study methods I used, I would get the same exact grade. I did everything I possibly could. Do not take this class if you want to live in peace.

  Tough class, but an A is def possible if you put the work in.There's a lot of reading, but it's not bad if you break the assignments up over the week. Best way to study for exams is mindmapping the slides. I earned a few points back each exam by emailing my TA- do that right after each exam. Extra credit for attendance! Go to SI!

  quite difficult, very interesting, she recommends study strategies at the beginning of the year and they worked out for me, SI was very helpful :)

  Dr. Wilson is an amazing lecturer, sets clear expectations, and explains complex subjects very concisely. The people who didn't perform in her class didn't put in the work necessary. Extra credit for attendance. Don't be fooled by UTD grades for Fall 2023, because the final test glitched and wasn't graded properly, so grades are heavily inflated.

  The professor is okay and is kind when you go to her for help. But exams are ridiculously hard. Will have a tough time even if you memorize the textbook. Harder than upper-level bio courses.

  this class is just so hard that, even though wilson is a decent lecturer, you're just going to spend so much time reading the textbook, memorizing the slides, etc. which makes coming to class seem useless.

  She seems like a nice enough person but her exams are ridiculously hard even if you studied. You won't just need to know what's in the chapters, you will need complete MASTERY over what was taught because the exam questions will be far more complicated than what is discussed in class. Obsessively reading the textbook will help you better. BEWARE

  She recently implemented a new online textbook so it's much easier than the previous textbook style. I basically got C's on every exam but did every single quiz and homework and went to every class and still ended up with an A+. She gives out a lot of extra credit so I would attend everyday! Very helpful with feedback for every exam as well.

  Dr. Wilson's poor ratings on RMP are given by students who are unappreciative of hardworking professors and refuse to accept that biological concepts are inherently complex. Dr. Wilson is kind, intelligent, and passionate. Assessment questions are designed to make students think, hence why they are difficult. Can't ask for a better professor.

  I really liked Dr. Wilson! She is intelligent and knowledgeable. You definitely need to put in work. She's funny in class and if you put in the work and show you care, she is super kind and helpful. Start reviewing early for exams. The textbook is a great study resource. She also gave extra credit for attendance and it was a really generous boost!

  dont take her bc ramesh's class is honestly better and a better grade. wilsons teaching style doesnt matter bc u need to read the textbook and teach yourself. the exams arent too hard but it is alot of work. wilson isnt the nicest person on the planet and i got an A in the class so im not stupid. if u want to work alot and hv a rude prof take her

  Dr. Wilson makes clear what her class is going to be. Compared to Bio1, I found this class to be MUCH easier. There are a lot of grade redemption points, and the exams are really not that hard (I had an 80 exam avg). People complain about this class for no reason -- it's a lot easier than other science classes. Start studying a week before exam.

  Her exams aren't as bad as ppl make it out to be. If u just make anki decks, study them twice, & understand the concepts, you'll get A's on the exams. Some specific bonus questions on exams. Attendance is good grade booster so attend all her lectures. She's an amazing lecturer and explains concepts rlly well. Heard Ramesh's exams are easier now tho

  If you go into this class knowing you'll have to put in a lot of effort, you'll probably be just fine. You have to attend class (we got 30 bonus points for attendance) for info bc her slides sometimes are just pictures. Basically memorize the slides and you won't have to read the textbook. Have to have big picture understanding. Hard exams :(
