I love the hard classes and core classes! Unique culture that is not for everyone but fun when you embrace it. Mostly a school to go to grad school after; do your research. Doesn't push too much religion. Humanities are great, cannot say the same about stem. Emphasis on development as a human, not just as a student. Expected to think very deeply.

I really like this school. A few cons are that the food is hit or miss, and the computer science department which I am in is kinda underfunded. Overall though, the people are great and it's an awesome location next to a huge international airport and a large city. Totally recommend.

UD is a very good school, with a great education. However, it is not for everyone. UD is best for future teachers, theologians, psychologists, or anyone looking to get into grad school. Do your research before you apply. In the end, I love UD, and recommend it for anyone.

I agree with the last several reviews. The institute operates under the guise of caring for the students, but ultimately its main objective is the bottom line. There are far better institutes that offer similar curriculums with a much better learning environment.

Prestigious, for what? This isn't Harvard. I was in the top 20% of students throughout my time here and was treated very poorly by professors and the academic committee despite being an excellent student. The core is 72 hours and none of that will help you get a job. Just read some novels and go somewhere else. Honestly huge waste of my time.

Half way through your sophom*ore year you'll realize that most employers don't even recognize this place. When you're having to prove yourself multiple times against tenured professors you'll be thinking about how good it could have been at any other university. Shout out to the nightmarish condition most of the buildings are in(AC,water,internet)

The academics are amazing. One of the professors here went to Yale and taught at Harvard; he says UD is harder and more rigorous than both, exempting the law programs.

Think before you come here, it's not for everyone. Do you like studying? Come here. But if not and you're trying to get an easy degree go somewhere else. But the people here are very friendly and the classes are very insightful and interesting.

I love this university. Entered as a Business major with a clear mindset to become a CPA since my first semester of Freshman year. I almost wanted nothing to do with the Core Curriculum. Sure, the classes challenged me, but they helped me realize that order and beauty in the liberal arts orient the soul towards goodness. Amazing environment, too.

It's a very liberal-arts focused, relatively small school. It can be work-intensive as times, but you get what you put in-- you're left with a thorough classical education and a richer worldview. Make sure to actively seek out social activities, as most clubs and societies are friendly and energetic, but not particularly outgoing.
